Textbook Timelines and Process

The lead time for obtaining textbooks can range between 6-8 weeks or longer depending on the location of the supplier, availability of the title and the time of the year. The sooner an adoption is received the greater the possibility of the course material being on our shelves by the start of classes.

Changes/Late Information
If your adoption changes (title cancellation, course cancellation, sections added, instructor change, etc.) after submission, please contact Wolfie's Campus Store right away. Any changes to orders after they have been shipped may result in additional costs. Wolfie's Campus Store will place all orders directly with the publishers, at the time of the order availability will be determined. Should there be a stock issue, delivery delay, or an edition/format change from the last time the book was on course, we will notify you.

Process
To start a textbook request, you need a personalized link. You can access Verba Collect at anytime and from anywhere. If you don't have a personalized link, email bookbuyer@tru.ca and your link will be emailed to you. Placing order(s) early will ensure students have a greater opportunity to resell their textbooks through our sellback program. Any orders placed after the adoption deadline for the semester may result in additional freight charges.

Textbook Status
One of the most important pieces of information you can provide is the required/recommended/optional status for each adoption:

Required – title is essential for success and students will be responsible for assigned readings from the course material
Recommended - title is considered an important resource for the field, discipline or course topic, and therefore, may be of interest to students. Either no portion or a small portion of the course material is covered in the course or utilized for exams. It is not necessary to obtain this matieral for success in the course.
Optional - title is available for additional reading or reference value.

The above is a guideline only. If course material is a recommended or an optional title, it would be helpful to receive a suggested order quantity when the adoption is placed.
